Description: This race consists of the toughest hills Mohican has to thrown at you that will make you proud you took this challenge! 11 miles in Mohican State Park. The race starts with a 1/2 mile open section where you will jockey for your position in the pack before entering 1.3 miles of single track trail with only tight room to pass. You will then say goodbye to the flat and hello to hills. The next 2.6 miles of wide trails, with more hills than you ever thought existed in Ohio, will lead you to the Mohican Memorial State Forrest Fire Tower. The following 2 miles of single trails to the famous Covered Bridge will let you rest just a bit. Finally, the last 4.4 miles will provide you with a trail that follows the Mohican River with technical running and the remaining attention getting hill taking you to the finish with a new appreciation for the beauty of our land, running and the success of finishing a race like never before. Water and Gatorade will be at 2.25, 4.68, and 6.68 miles. Some refreshments at the finish. Over 1,400 feet of elevation gain! Yes, not a typo! You will be proud you ran this one!
